Here it is, the brand new story quest event, there is already a lot to talk about here but I have no doubt that there is more to come, I also think we are seeing some signs that a 5,000,000 Downloads event, could be on the horizon as well…

99 Luck Upgrades
Once again, the Jumputi devs have added rewards for earning more 99 Luck units! The bonuses, as before, include, Reduced Stamina Recovery Time, Upgraded Friend Point Gacha and Additional Daily Rewards. You will now gain additional rewards for MAX Luck units all the way up to owning 40!
The main bonus everyone is talking about for this update is the bonus at 28 Max Luck units which will unlock Gokudera Hayato from Katekyo Hitman Reborn in the Friend Point Gacha!

We knew about Gokudera from a sneak peek on the website quite a while ago but this dropped out of nowhere last night just after the data download, always nice to get bonuses and we get another awesome Katekyo Hitman Reborn unit! I’m pumped but I still have my fingers crossed for a Katekyo Hitman Reborn story event sometime this year, I would say it has an outside chance….

There is talk on the site of a Bleach Gacha ticket present which is pretty nice, additionally there is an SNS campaign going on right now which appears to be giving out a Jumputi Bleach wallpaper…uh thanks I guess?
Red and Blue campaign
To put this as simply as possible, Red and Blue units will be good for this event and so Boosted Gold Island, Red & Blue Books Island, Red & Blue & Rainbow Souls Island and Red & Blue Super Class events will all be open 24 hours a day during the period below.

Now let’s move on to the stuff that they haven’t announced yet!
Limited Gacha – Hollowfication
No surprises here, Limited Ichigo for the Bleach event, I think quite a few people were surprised that this wasn’t Mugetsu Ichigo but I guess this game has to last for a while and it’s still pretty hype.

I kinda thought that Vizard Ichigo could be an awakened form of the V1 Ichigo if they ever made one, but I don’t know if that’s something they ever plan to do. Ichigo will be Fire (Red)
Unity Battle?
Well it would make sense if Aizen was here but so far he’s not. That being said, the current UB is not over yet and they quite often leave a little gap between them so Aizen very well could be (and I expect him to be) among the next Data Download and hopefully he will be obtainable!
Vs. Tower?
The first season of Vs. Tower will end next week. Still no announcement or leak indicating what they will do going forward beyond the initial discussion of stuff they want to add later:
- Battle Medals
- Battle Medal Exchange (To purchase valuable items and Vs. Battle characters)
- Player Rankings System
- Bonus Characters (Characters that will boost your point gain in a given season if they are included in your team)
It’s possible we will hear more on the livestream.
Bleach Side A Gacha
A nice gacha for sure if you’re a big fan of the core heroes, though we will need a moment of silence for Chad #JusticeForChad.
Version 1 Ichigo is in this banner and spoiler alert, he is in the other banner too. Now I know some people will be a bit disappointed but with these story quest events, they have to bring back the old units for new players to have a chance to pull them and hey, at least Ichigo isn’t as old as Luffy, Zoro, Goku, Vegeta etc. he’s actually pretty decent.
Uryuu Ishida from Bleach
Uryuu from Hueco Mundo, I’m happy we are finally building up some base rosters, especially from series that were released after launch, this gives me hope for series like Wing-man and Bastard!!! that remain untouched since their addition, I know Bleach is a bigger draw but if Bleach can get so many units in an event then smaller series can get one or two here and there.
Orihime Inoue from Bleach
This Orihime is from a very specific scene in the manga where she visits Ichigo before being abducted by Ulquiorra. I think it’s nice to have her in the game, another character that I will be disappointed with if we don’t get a handful of costumes for her.
Renji Abarai from Bleach
Well this is an interesting turn, it looked very much like we were going with a Hueco Mundo event but along comes Thousand Year Blood War Renji. Not like I’m mad or anything but I think this might be an indicator that this will be the only Renji we ever see.
Bleach Side B Gacha
Many would argue this is a much stronger gacha than the first and I’d be inclined to agree, two of the series most popular characters feature together, along with Ichigo and Uryuu again.
Toshiro Hitsugaya from Bleach
Toshiro is a cool character and one of the most popular in all of Bleach so I’m down for him to be in here. I was really hoping that, after seeing Renji, Toshiro would be in his Thousand Year Blood War form but sadly it seems that will be saved for later.
Yoruichi Shihoin from Bleach
A fine choice to get added, yet another fan favourite. This makes a total of 3 survey characters being added from Bleach for this event, the highest out of anyone in that section of the survey. To be honest that part of the survey was weird, it included characters that were “must adds” next to each other when we knew they would be coming eventually, still happy to see her here in what appears to be her Thousand Year Blood War form.

Well we expected My Hero Academia but I guess it’s coming later, One Piece still with no survey unit is odd and Toki was a bit of an outlier with HnK not having an event but at least we got Souther…who wasn’t obtainable….
Bleach getting 3 survey units was quite a nice surprise and leaves other series up in the air a little bit. Many people will point to Gaara and Sasuke as must add units from Naruto, so maybe they will get multiple too.
Don’t forget that the anniversary is coming up at the end of March, lots of speculation is coming about who we will get as there will be a story quest event running at the same time as the anniversary. I’m sticking to my guns and saying it will be Slam Dunk but we will see.
Catastrophe/Transcendent Class Event – Ulquiorra
Imprison, Murcielago will be the next Catastrophic Class Event! The boss Ulquiorra Cifer from Bleach will be available as a drop! He will be Wood (Green)!

Following the trend set by the other Story Quest events. Ulquiorra will be Catastrophic Difficulty and come with an Aura costume to go along with it. It’s a bit odd, we got Cell in a similar sort of difficult stage + costume with his full power costume but it’s a bit strange to see that we are getting another Green Catastrophe unit when we still haven’t had a red one…
Transcendent Class Event – Grimmjow
Grind, Pantera will be the next Transcendent Class Event! The boss Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez from Bleach will be available as a drop! He will be Fire (Red)!

Well if we are doing the Arrancar then Ulquiorra and Grimmjow are obvious choices. I don’t know how far they will go with these characters in terms of forms and techniques for their ultimate attack but there may well be some room for additional versions of these characters down the road.
Beginner Event – Harribel
Tres Espada will be the next Transcendent Class Event! The boss Tier Harribel from Bleach will be available as a drop! She will be Aqua (Blue)!

An interesting choice here, I mean don’t get me wrong I can see the appeal of adding her but for her to be a beginner stage is also very odd. I guess it’s a quick and easy 99 for a cool character so I don’t have any complaints.
Hueco Mundo Gacha
Collect Arrancar Mask Fragments from the Bleach events and use them to summon on this gacha for a chance to receive many luxurious rewards, including Nel!
Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck from Bleach
I’m hoping this gacha is similar to the Silver Coin gacha for Tadokoro Megumi because I would love to have Nel as a Max Luck unit. She is a nice addition for sure and the fact she is free is a big bonus.
Bleach Story – Rukia’s Picture Book Theatre
This is a part of the event, most likely similar to the cell games initiation stage that you had to beat once to unlock everything else.
Byakuya Returns
Byakuya will be returning, now he will have an additional lower class difficulty stage available for those that struggled with the Ultimate Class Stage.
Defeat Hyunckel Gacha
A very tempting prospect, not just for helping to beat Hyunckel but also because I really would like to summon for Tanjirou again.
Returning Heroes Gacha
This is a real nice gacha, good units all around, I will however be skipping because I already have Reborn and Suguru and can’t risk dupes of them trying to get the others, even though I really want reborn.
Bleach Gacha Ticket
Bleach unit guaranteed. Obviously this will remind people of the Yu Yu Hakusho gacha where many of us got a lot of Botans and Kuwabaras. I think this will be mostly the same, seems like the first one will be given out as a stream reward, whether we will get more remains to be seen.
Free Daily Summon
Free summon every day, with an updated summon pool. Not sure what event this is a part of, maybe 5M downloads?
Tutorial Completion
I wouldn’t get too excited about this, just an update or two to the tutorial stuff that people will be getting from now on.
Scar’s Notes
That’s all there is to the data download this week. I have a feeling there may be more info just around the corner with the stream and the next data download, just like there was last time, just little things like we didn’t see a login banner and didn’t see Aizen yet, it seems likely to me that that will change.
I was wrong about MHA but oh well, it’s nice to see Bleach so I’m not mad, got one of my favourite series as an event instead 😀
We talked about characters we knew would be coming in the future last time and sure enough, the first one we listed was Gokudera and he got added out of nowhere, hopefully this is a sign that the others will get in at some point too.
I still think we will get a nice data download next week as well and maybe some cheeky stuff we didn’t know about in the stream for this week. I think the focus will almost entirely be Bleach for the next 2 weeks or so, with the only exceptions maybe being Gokudera and a new tower unit for now.
We still have one more story event after this before the anniversary so I wonder what it will be…Let’s hope for something awesome, I’ll see you all next week
