Anniversary Extra Events

*Please note, there will be speculation in this post

A few more events and stuff have been added to the anniversary event list. Some of these were mentioned before while others are completely new things. The data download was small this week so instead of lot’s of upcoming leaked event coverage, I will instead share some predictions for the rest of the month’s events.

Challenge Event – Ryuk

The Shinigami that likes Apples will be the next Challenge Event! The boss Ryuk from Death Note will be available as a drop! They will be Fire (Red)!

Ryuk from Death Note

Each stage will present a unique challenge that you must build a team carefully for in order to beat it! Some stages will be particularly tricky, discuss with your fellow players to work out the best way to overcome each challenge.

Challenge 1 – Hinomaru Ushio

Survive 5 turns against Hinomaru. He will cut your HP by 90% each turn and he will also Burn you. Hinomaru’s Burn will inflict increasing damage each turn.

Advice – Healing each turn will help keep you alive, but remember, the burn will be much more powerful towards the end of the battle

Challenge 2 – Sanji, Chopper and The Kung-fu Dugongs

This stage has 5 rooms. Each room will have a number of enemies. You must defeat all enemies in each room in one turn or you will be defeated.

Advice – Characters that can attack all enemies at once are key here, some of them have even been buffed recently to make this easier

Challenge 3 – Toriko

Toriko will inflict 100,000 points of damage on the 5th turn. Survive this attack at all costs.

Advice – Supports that provide damage reduction, front line characters with type advantage and front line characters that reduce damage are all advisable for this stage.

Challenge 4 – Katsuragi Yako

Yako will rate down certain bubbles before absorbing every bubble on the board. She will then challenge you to turn your whole board into one color. The color you must change your board to will be in the first line of her speech bubble after she churns your board and in the speech bubble between each turn. Remember what you are looking for:

  • 赤 = Red
  • 青 = Blue
  • 緑 = Green
  • 黄 = Yellow

Advice – Search your character box for bubble converters that pair well together, I think the best way to do it is to set your team out with one particular bubble colour in mind then reset until you get the right one

Challenge 5 – Yukihira Soma

Soma will make sure to reduce your Attack, making your attacks do little to no damage. Overcome this and defeat him in 4 turns or face certain defeat.

Advice – Use characters who don’t require a good attack stat to do damage. This includes characters who inflict damage based on their HP stat or their Recovery stat.

Challenge 6 – Son Goku

Goku will convert a number of bubbles into Block bubbles every so often. Each time he uses the Spirit Bomb, he will inflict a great deal more damage for every Block bubble still on the board, survive Both spirit bombs

Advice – Support characters who can change bubbles in set positions to a different color will be great for this, leave the “convert one color to another color” supports at home for this one and focus on setting up your patterns and getting rid of all the block bubbles before BOTH ultimate attacks.

Event Period: 04/04 15:00 ~ 04/12 14:59

Extra Stuff found in the data mine

Not a lot of extra stuff this time around. I’m sure next week will be a different story, but at least this week there are just a couple of things that I suppose are worth talking about.

Hidan and Kimimaro Return

So CM2 Sasuke returned this week as a normal Ultimate class event and now it seems that Hidan and Kimimaro will return as normal Transcendent class events. There are still some signs that the Naruto event may return at some point soon however I think it wont be in the next few data downloads at least despite the logo for the Naruto event being re-added, I think these 2 events will just be normal transcendents and nothing more.

The Next story event?

Even more hints at a Hunter x Hunter Story Event being the next one planned by the developers. They even mentioned that they would “Prepare for the next Story Quest Event” in the last Version update patch notes so I suppose it’s safe to say that we can expect HxH to be the April Story Event.

Scar’s Notes

This was supposed to go up on Thursday but I just got so busy out of nowhere all of a sudden 🙁 I expect a big data download next Thursday so hopefully I can get things up on the site in a much smaller amount of time.

As the anniversary comes to a close, I think I would say that it was good in general, especially in terms of rewards and events. But maybe for some people I could see how it was a bit disappointing, especially if you were waiting for a bunch of cool gacha to be added.

Now as we move into April we know that the HxH story event will pop up at some point this month, I assume it will be at the end of the month as usual. That being said we need to fill the gap between the end of the anniversary events and the end of the month. I suppose it is possible that HxH would come earlier but personally I think it’s time for mid month to go back to being a New Heroes gacha and set of events. This block of events can be followed by Golden Week which you may remember, last year during Golden Week, they introduced Battle Rush for the first time so maybe it will be an opportunity to release some nice new content for the fans once again!

For the new heroes gacha, I think it would be a shame not to include Kimetsu no Yaiba and We Never Learn, as both series launched their anime this month, however I could see how that might not be the case if they didn’t want to spoil too much, but I don’t think the inclusion of Nezuko and maybe Nariyuki would spoil too much.

Anyway, that’s all to be said for this week. Sorry if the buffs aren’t that easy to read on the site, the formatting isn’t great I know but all the buffs will be added to the database in the coming weeks anyway so I hope you guys can understand. I anticipate next week to be a lot of work so let’s cross our fingers for some nice additions in the Thursday Data Download, See you next time 😀
