The first Story event that has been held for quite some time. A Hunter x Hunter event seemed inevitable, especially when you consider that HxH was the final prototype for the Story Quest formula, holding a set of HxH events at the same time with a limited gacha and Catastrophe class event as it’s counterpart. A Large portion of this month was taken up with the anniversary and an even larger portion will be taken up by this event, however, I think April will still have some nice surprises in-store for us.

Follow the Phantom Troupe

During the period below, clear Hunter x Hunter stages and earn Mission Points, collect lots of these points together as a community to earn a bunch of luxurious prizes!

The stages of rewards will go from 1-5. The higher the stage is, the better the rewards are. However it will require more and more points to clear each stage.

In addition to the community goals, collect Points to clear your own personal missions and receive even more rewards!

Catastrophic Class Event – Shaiapouf

Only for the King will be the next Catastrophic Class Event! The boss Shaiapouf from Hunter x Hunter will be available as a drop! They will be Aqua (Blue)!

Catastrophic Class Event – Neferpitou Returns

The event I guess I’m a little strong ❤ will return during the period below! The boss Neferpitou from Hunter x Hunter will be available as a drop! They will be Wood (Green)!

Pitou will have 100% drop rate on both Difficulties

• Catastrophe Class – 40 Stamina
• Ultimate Class – 40 Stamina

Special for this event! For a limited time only, the Catastrophe difficulty has returned to this event! This is the only way to obtain the Neferpitou Aura costume, clear the hardest difficulty to earn yours!

Unity Battle – Uvogin

A new unity battle event will be held with the boss Uvogin from Hunter x Hunter available as a drop! He will be Wood (Green)!

Defeat the Boss Uvogin (Wood – Tank) to earn a number of Luxurious Rewards! Uvogin will also be available from the Soldier’s Soul shop from now on!

Tower Release – Illumi

This season adds the new Tower character Illumi Zoldyck from Hunter x Hunter. They will be available in the Tower Store and they will be Wood (Green)!

New Debuff – Electric Shock

This new debuff will be implemented with the addition of new characters during this Hunter x Hunter event!

If a character is Shocked, they will receive damage at the end of every turn based on the degree of shock (different characters will shock for different amounts, the same as the Poison debuff). However, while suffering the effects of Shock a character will also receive additional end of turn damage based on how many Bubbles they pop during that turn.

Special Hunter x Hunter gacha tickets will be available as rewards during this event, use them to summon on this gacha for a guaranteed Hunter x Hunter unit every time!

Scar’s Notes

A gargantuan event has been announced once again. This event will take us up to the start of Golden Week. So I would expect a pretty nice set of events to be held during that week. I still have hope for a New Heroes banner to take place during that last week of April, even though the developers have stated that those sorts of events will be less of a focus now compared to Story Quest Events. It’s fine, as long as we still get them every now and again, I am happy. Regardless of which events and gacha feature, I assure you that we will get some treats for Golden Week.

There wasn’t much new in the files to be honest, pretty much everything except Godspeed Killua was announced prior to the data download and there isn’t much to see in the new APK either. Not to worry, with how candidly the devs talked about plans for the future, we can expect a version update soon including the character log and character log milestone rewards as well as another Story Event. At this point with story events I guess we can go back to expecting a new one each month so the real question is…who is next?

The potential candidates in my eyes are everyone they included on this list as well as My Hero Academia, Katekyo Hitman Reborn and Slam Dunk. I think with the release of Ryu Majin Dai we can probably rule out Dragon Quest at least for a little while. Out of what is left, there are a lot I would like to see but I think the most likely outcome is between 3 series in my opinion. Those 3 series are Saint Seiya, The Prince of Tennis and Yu-gi-oh. My reasoning here is that 2/3 of these series already have a limited unit and are popular enough to hold up an event of their own, that way they can re-release the limited units and standard gacha units from those series while adding new ones so that there can be a lot of relevant gacha for any new players who are brought in by the event. The third series here, Yu-gi-oh, basically just comes down to the series being heavily under represented for such a popular title. Obviously I have my favorites that I would love to see, but if we are trying to make the best possible guess, I would say that I think The Prince of Tennis is the most likely. I’ve speculated about everything they could do with a prince of tennis event before:

I think Atobe is dead and buried as a Tower unit now, but other than that I still think this event would be awesome. But yeah I’m pretty much hyped for anything to come next, we’ve gotten through all the super massive series that get representation in all the games, now it’s time to slowly but surely show off some series that maybe didn’t get so much love even thought they deserved it!
