Gintama Story Event

The Gintama manga has run for well over 600 chapters, the majority of that time was spent as a staple of shonen jump. Now, as the manga reaches it’s end, Jumputi will celebrate the series in this huge event!

A number of stages, rewards and characters will be made available during this event. There will be plenty of content for everyone to enjoy!

The Sun Will Rise Again

This special event will be available for a limited time only! There are a number of stages from Beginner up to Ultimate so everyone should try their best to clear what they can! Bosses Okada and Takasugi are both obtainable and are both Aqua (Blue). Build a strong Thunder (Yellow) team and conquer this challenge!

Boss Only – Kijima Makoto from Gintama

From Beginner to Expert difficulty the boss Kijima Makoto will appear. She will not be available as a drop, however from these stages you can earn the materials you need to help you power up your team for challenging the higher levels. Please note, bringing Kagura in the main team for these stages will trigger a “Special Occurrence” so please check it out!

Okada Nizou from Gintama

Nizou will be Aqua (Blue)

On Expert~Super class stages Nizou will have a chance to drop. On Transcendent class difficulty he will have 100% chance to drop. Special missions and rewards will be given so let’s aim for MAX Luck together! Please note, bringing Sakata Gintoki, [Shining Silver Light] Sakata Gintoki or Katsura Kintarou in the main team for these stages will trigger a “Special Occurrence” so please check it out!

Takasugi Shinsuke from Gintama

Takasugi will be Aqua (Blue)

On higher up stages, Transcendent~Catastrophe class, Takasugi will appear as a boss. On Ultimate and Catastrophe class difficulty he will have 100% chance to drop. If you clear the special Catastrophe Class difficulty (that will be added at a later date) you can obtain Takasugi’s special Aura Costume! Please note, bringing Sakata Gintoki, [Shining Silver Light] Sakata Gintoki or Katsura Kintarou in the main team for these stages will trigger a “Special Occurrence” so please check it out!

Scar’s Notes

This one took me a long time to translate, I kinda knew it would because I’m not too familiar with Gintama and the nature of the series means it has a lot of gags, references and quotes that are hard for me to decipher, especially when I don’t know what they are referencing XD

I didn’t include the information on the next big version update because I will do it in a different post when I have some time tomorrow.

Things do seem nicely set up for this event to lead straight into the Jump Anniversary which should be on 07/11 (note that this event starts one day before the last one ends and this event would also end one day after the official Jump anniversary). Also with the reprint of the Kabuto event as well as some events set up to come around for the first time on the Chinese version, I expect a lot of building on old events to occur, which hopefully means new costumes and legend summons to come very soon.

We have had some nice events recently and updates too. My hopes are high for summer on Jumputi, I hope we can all get lots of stuff we want 😀
