September 28th 2022 marks 4.5 years of operation! To celebrate Jumputi’s continued success that was only made possible by the fans, a celebration event will be held!

Voyage Log Release

Clear stages in the newly released Voyage Log mode to earn Voyage Log Points.

The points will be locked to the series you earn them from. For example if you clear a stage from the Dragon Ball section of the Voyage Log you will receive Dragon Ball Voyage Log Points which can be spent on Dragon Ball characters and various items.

You can still farm the stages as normal to obtain the characters featured on the stage, but you will also earn Voyage Log Points for that series. More series will be added to the Voyage Log in batches throughout the year.

Some events will not appear in the Voyage Log but the characters will still be available. There are also some events such as Legendary Quests that have not been added to the Voyage Log. These events will be reprinted in the regular manner periodically.

In addition to characters and items, a special emblem will be available from the Voyage Log Points Exchange for each series.

If you didn’t know, enemies will sometimes tell you what they are about to do eg. which kind off bubble they will absorb or if they will do boosted damage to you when you are afflicted by a certain debuff.

Information from the 4.5 Anniversary Livestream

Our normal hosting duo Kenta Suga & Misoshiru was joined by Eiji & Hiru-chan from the comedy duo Impossible! Jumputi’s Lead Producer Fuji#P also showed up for the livestream.

Regarding the release of Fukki

When Musou were first established, the decision was to release them once every 6 months. The first batch was intended to span a 2 year period with a total of 4 Musou Grade units, one for each type.

Fukki was released as a Musou Grade unit on the Taiwan server first. The ecosystem of the Taiwan Server is slightly different to the Japan server, Fukki was added for them at a fitting time for their server.

There was a lot of requests from fans to see more characters from the Taiwan server added to the Japan server and especially in the case of Fukki, Hoshin Engi fans were vocal about wanting to see him added.

Fuji#P is a fan of Hoshin Engi too so he understands wanting to see Fukki, added as it’s an important character. The decision to add Fukki to the Japan server wasn’t fully considered right away, it was something that was planned to happen at some point but he wasn’t meant to be part of the first Musou batch.

Fuji#P didn’t want to release Fukki as anything less than Musou or Densetsu as he felt it wouldn’t be fair to fans of the series for the most powerful character to be made a lower rarity on the Japan server.

The decision was made that, Fukki would be a special case and would be added for the Taiwan Anniversary Celebration on the Japan server.

The developers wished they’d planned it out a bit better to give fans more warning.

For now, Jumputi will be continuing with Densetsu characters and new Musou characters are not currently planned for the near future. The release of Densetsu characters will not be set to a 6 month schedule but the developers will still try to prevent a string of Densetsu characters releasing too close to each other.

In the future, Densetsu/Musou characters released on the Taiwan server first may still make their way to the Japan server as fans have been vocal about wanting to see them and not wanting to see their favourite characters “demoted” in rarity when migrating over. But these things will be better planned out in the future with a bit more warning.

Regarding changes with the release of Limited units

Firstly, as mentioned previously, the developers have been trying to work out a satisfying way to add Limited units from the Taiwan server. For example, characters like Sephiria from Black Cat are very popular and it’s the first Limited for that series, so it doesn’t feel right to reduce the character’s rarity when bringing them to the Japan server, fans have been vocal about changes like that in the past.

Additionally, not just factoring in the Taiwan Limiteds, but in general, recently the number of Limited units being released in each event has increased. Some have even speculated that these changes are a sign that the game may be shutting down soon because it’s running out of money. However, that is not the case. The reasoning behind this is two-fold.

Firstly, they wanted to diversify the limiteds they were releasing for each series. The protagonist will normally be the leading candidate for a series getting a new limited in an event however they didn’t want to be restricted to just releasing protagonists each time so they have been trying to give opportunities to other prominent characters.

Secondly, players have been asking the developers to make their favourite characters strong. Like in cases with Yamato from One Piece. Yamato could have been a Hero Grade unit but fans of the character would not have gotten as much use out of them as a Hero so the decision was made to release them as a Limited.

So the rate of limited units being released has increased, as a result of this, there have been fewer Hero grade units. The developers are still working out the balance for this moving forward.

There is a concern regarding limited gacha characters being highly desirable characters with strong abilities. There have been complaints from players saying that they can’t keep up with this pace. Right now, the developers are still trying to find a balance for this situation.

Players have asked for an update that lets you choose how many summons to do at a time on any given gacha. This update is currently being developed.

Players have asked for an update that lets you Limit Break your character all at once rather than one level at a time. This update is currently planned for release in February.

Players have asked for the UI to make it clear which characters are MAX Luck at a glance from the character box. This update will be added a later date but development is not yet underway so the release date is undecided.

Players have asked for the player rank cap to be increased. From this event onwards, you will now be able to reach Player Rank 600. Any additional EXP you earned while your rank was capped at 500 will be added on the first time you log in after this update.

Players have asked for an increase in the number of character slots in the box. This update is being considered however the developers need to review how having that many characters load at a time will affect older/less powerful devices.

The daily gacha is currently appearing further down the gacha list than intended, a fix is being worked on for a future update.

A system will be implemented at a later date that will allow you to trade unneeded dupes of gacha characters for a special item which can be used at the event exchange for various items or rewards.

A sort function for Legend Summons and Stamps will be added at a later date but development is not yet underway so the release date is undecided.

A data transfer method other than LINE is being prepared. It has taken a long time because there are certain guidelines that need to be followed but preparation is underway.

More benefits to getting more characters to MAX Luck are currently being worked on. They will also be laid out and displayed in a more suitable way.

Currently there is a plan to work on the rank distribution for weekly Tower Emblems. This will be addressed in November.

The Hidden Potential System is currently being worked on and the aim is to release it before the 5th Anniversary

This system will allow you to increase the abilities of characters. This will not just include stat increases but also additional effects to skills and more!

Once this update is in place, challenging events will be added that will require you to work on your character’s hidden potential to win.

Jump Festa

This year, Jumputi will be making an appearance a Jump Festa! The event is being held on the 17th and 18th of December this year and a special campaign will be held in game to celebrate. More information on this event will be revealed at a later date.

Super Tower will finally be added to the game some time after the 5th Anniversary. This game mode was planned for release before now multiple times and even appeared on the roadmap a while ago but there have been many delays in getting it just right for release.

The mode has been designed specifically to appeal to those who love the current Tower game mode. The plan is for this to be an enhanced Tower experience.
