Next Event & Possible Leaks!

It seems someone on the dev team has learned about the ultra-advanced development technique called basic optimization! You may have noticed the data download for this event was smaller than normal, that’s because normally the data download contains a bunch of the junk files that are just reuploads or different versions of the same files already downloaded before. This time, almost all those extra files are gone and they mostly just uploaded what was needed, very good from the devs, well done.

Unfortunately they still don’t have anyone on the team that can count so all the sales packs are still scams…

Speaking of sales packs, we will be getting some special packs for White Day! Seemingly they are similar to the Valentine’s packs and are much more expensive than the Anya pack, however I guess it’s cheaper than buying prisms and going for a character on a banner…

Personally I don’t recommend these kinds of sales, especially as these are all base pool units.

There doesn’t seem to be any indication of anything further being added for White Day unless they have another data download planned, which I doubt.

Next event, it’s the decider, the honest to god make or break for Jumble Rush…

The Half Anniversary!

They have promised a Special Event and a Major Update in Mid March to celebrate. That event should be starting on the 16th and I truly believe what we get for that event & update in addition to whatever they show on the roadmap to the 1st Anniversary will decide the fate of this game.

I had been buying the pass to remove ads until recently but I can’t justify it anymore and playing without it made me realize how the game was somehow even worse than I thought.

Anything short of a complete overhaul and change in direction, for me, is a sign that this game will not have long before EoS.

Standard event format… again.

I must say this is all getting very repetitive.

This event is at least a little on the shorter side, only 14 days until the next event starts.

As you may have seen in the updated roadmap, we now know what the next 3 events will be!

Late February – The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You
Early March – Girl Meets Rock
Late March – Half Anniversary Thanksgiving Celebration

I fully expect that Girl Meets Rock will be a similar event to Kindergarten Wars. While it may be naïve however, I at least have some hope for 100 Girlfriends and Half Anni.

I expect that Half Anni will rerun a lot of content including banners and events from the series that got events up until New Years at least. There was an image in the files recently that I suspected may have something to do with events being rerun.

There are now a bunch of dummy files for the gacha for all the past events that have been added which reinforces the idea somewhat.

For example this banner shown above for the Dandadan Even Gacha: Side A.

I hope that Half Anni may be the first proper ensemble event for this game, but we shall have to wait and see.

In terms of updates, the animations on the main gacha page have also been updated and they look pretty cool but as far as I am aware there are still no fake-outs or special animations which is something they never added to Jumputi either for some dumb reason.

Now I want to talk about the Stamina Drinks…

There are actually 2 of them in the files, one that has been fully added to the game already and one that has not

The drink on the left is the one already in game, it replenishes 10 Stamina per drink.

The drink on the right is in the files but not in the game yet, I assume it either replenishes 50 Stamina, 100 Stamina or gives a Full refill.

Reminder that there are already 3 ways to replenish stamina.

Wait for your stamina to refill over time
Watch an ad for a 50% refill (you can do this up to 10 times a day)
Pay 30 Prisms for a 100% stamina refill

I think the addition of Stamina Drinks IN THEORY is a great idea but this implementation is so unbelievably clueless it is unreal.

I will happily take the Stamina Drinks from event/login/mission rewards regardless of their usefulness. But I have 2 major problems with this:

The stamina sales packs are an outright scam, genuinely awful value worse than their standard Prism sales which are already woefully poorly priced
There is almost no content to spend Stamina on anyway…

Recently I was dumping stamina into the Oshi no Ko training stage because it was the only thing worth farming and allowed me to build up a small stock of the evolver item that is not farmable anywhere else.

Now that stage is gone and hasn’t been replaced with any real equivalent, there is no need for excess stamina. I will farm the new character quests the days they come out and then I have nothing to do with my stamina the rest of the event except trying to beat the missions on harder stages of story mode.

I do believe that giving players the option to spend stamina on their own terms, when they have time and when they feel like playing is a good thing so these drinks are a nice addition generally speaking but the bigger problem is the game itself being in desperate need of a MAJOR overhaul, hopefully that’s something they have planned for us in the future.

Moving on, we do have a Valentine’s type event that overlaps a little with Kindergarten Wars. You can get Valentine’s Pick Up Gacha Tickets from the Kindergarten Wars event missions.

These tickets can be used on a Valentines Pick Up Gacha that will start on 02/10.

I assume you can also summon on this with Prisms but no official info on this banner yet.

It also seems as if they are doing character packs for the first time since Anya’s character pack which dropped at launch.

We don’t know the details of these packs yet so I can’t speak for their value however, the inclusion of extra items would suggest that these will be significantly more expensive than the Anya pack.

I believe we also have a new item added, no idea what this is to be honest.

Before I go, I would like to talk about the 100 Girlfriends event. This is a series I’ve been very much hoping would be added, not only do I enjoy the series but it falls into the category of “Jump+ Simulpub” which means it’s actually published elsewhere and is not a Jump+ original or exclusive series. There are a few series that fall into this category including one I would really like to see in Kinnikuman!

As for the 100 Girlfriends event itself, I think the format will be very similar to the Oshi no Ko event just probably without a Festival Unit.

Normally event units are SR but due to the nature of the series it felt weird to make one of the girls a lower rarity than the others. Most likely they wouldn’t change that. But they did say there will be a new type of event in February and seeing as the Kindergarten Wars is the same old stuff as usual, this could be a chance to make an event that’s fun and engaging for once.

This would cover the six girls from Season 1, I know this game is technically about Manga rather than anime but it would make sense to do these six then add more content later this year to coincide with the Season 3 release.

Final note, they have listed a Major Update for March. No news on what this will be, might well have something to do with the reprints I mentioned earlier, but I really feel like this is a last chance for the game, a chance for a complete overhaul.

I know I’ve been a bit cynical at points with this game but I genuinely have tried to give the benefit of the doubt where I can. Unfortunately, the devs just keep shooting themselves in the foot (and us in the face). You can see the devs are only asking for a total of 500 Likes and Reposts on their tweet for the SNS campaign because they have lost all hype and motion for the game and most people already lost interest long ago.

I hope that the devs can fix this game but I feel this is just a repeat of many poorly envisioned gacha games of the past, just another EOS in waiting room that might not even make it to the 1st Anniversary.

Next Event & Possible Leaks!

It seems we’ve gone back to standard event format for now. But I strongly believe that the exchange format will become the main event format and I think we will see it again next event.

I think it’s interesting that they made a sprite for Zhu Jin but didn’t make them playable.

Genji Yamada Asaemon is also there as an enemy only unit but he’s a bit of a jobber so it’s less surprising that he’s not playable.

But for such small events like this one I really think it would have enhanced the event a lot to have Zhu Jin as a challenging stage farmable unit.

These aren’t the first enemy only units but I think when an event is so small to go out of your way to sprite them and then not make them obtainable feels odd, especially when many stages just have random fodder characters as enemy only or even just those generic shadow enemies.

As for what the next event is, still no confirmation yet. We know it will be a new series and it will start on 02/02 so a little over 2 weeks from now.

I expect that it will be Kindergarten Wars as that is the only series we have seen any leaks of so far and most of the other leaked content has now been added.

Next Event & Possible Leaks!

Oshi no Ko is here! This is quite good event in a lot of aspects, for a start, seems like there has been a shift away from the old farmable event character format which I believe is for the better overall.

I love that I can do multi-runs of stages, however, there’s definitely some balancing changes that need to be made.

For example, when comparing to a game like Pokemon Masters EX, on that game you need to beat a stage once then you can use “skip tickets” to do as many runs at once as you have the stamina for and you won’t have to run the stage again because you are “skipping” it.

Whereas on this game you can only do 5 runs at a time and you aren’t skipping it, you are playing it through over and over. And I mean OVER AND OVER, that new Red Token stage costs 10 Stamina per run and you will need to do so many damn runs. I did some rough calcs and to clear out the shop I think you need over 1,000,000 tokens and you only get 150 guaranteed tokens per run. Now you do get a chance at some random bonus tokens each run which can range from a couple of hundred to over 1000 but it’s random and you aren’t guaranteed to get anything.

Long story short, you’re going to have to do a few hundred of runs of this stage if you wanna get everything. Which will take a very long time/might be impossible without the extra 10x 50% stamina refills you get every day for watching ads (1 ad per refill).

Bottom line, it’s overall a better event structure but it desperately needs some balancing.

If you were wondering, the why it’s called Red Token instead of Oshi no Ko token, I… don’t really know but what I do know is that it’s one of Four that have been added to the files so we can expect more events like this in the future for sure.

It’s possible, as they listed four new series to be added in early 2026, that each of these tokens will release alongside one of those series.

The next event after Oshi no Ko is Hell’s Paradise anyway so we’ll have to wait to learn more about the new series.

For the handling of Oshi no Ko, I’m pretty happy all in all, I thought Pieyon was the only one that seemed like an event unit and sure enough he’s the only event unit so that’s fine. I do kinda feel like all the girls could have been URs and they just give us 1 for free, that’s the sort of thing Jumputi would have done. But oh well, still fairly decent and it’s nice to see that Ai seems fairly strong, hopefully I can get her.

As with the Christmas sales, New Year sales are nothing special. They are generally slightly better than the Christmas ones with small improvements on price and rewards but still not quite the value I’d like to see. The pass is disappointingly bad sadly but the prism sales actually have a few with a decent Yen to Prism ratio, but those are mostly the sales for whales.

All in all, still tons of work that the devs need to do in order to bring the game up to the quality that we expect but another step in the right direction and I hope we continue down this path.

This button will appear at the end of stages on the results screen. Instead of needing to go back to the event menu to try the stage again, you can simply click the Next Run Button and go straight into the next run!

New Feature – The Exchange

A new button has appeared on the home screen that will take you to The Exchange. There are currently two sections available in The Exchange. One section allows you to purchase items in exchange for coins. This section will reset monthly. The other section allows you to trade in unwanted Character Fragments in exchange for equivalent rarity Character Fragment Choice Boxes.

As shown in the banner for this news post you can see that there is also another Festival unit planned for New Year’s Day and that is of course, [B-Komachi Center] Ai Hoshino from Oshi no Ko

As we have known for some time, Oshi no Ko will be coming to Jumble Rush!

As we saw in the roadmap, a number of new series will be added one after the other. The only ones we know about so far are Oshi no Ko and Kindergarten Wars

We don’t know when Kindergarten Wars will appear for sure but it’s safe to assume it will be one of the new series added at the start of the year.

Oshi no Ko is confirmed to be the next I Like It Festival which will start on New Year’s Day!

In addition to the newly confirmed Festival Ai Hoshino, we also know some of the other characters being added:

Ruby Hoshino
Arima Kana
Mem-Cho
Akane Kurokawa
Pieyon

As you can see, a much stronger roster than any of the events that have come prior. So far only Ai has appeared in the data download so we don’t know what role each character will play in the event.

I’d like to say that today’s announcements show improvements for sure, we finally have the release of our Festival (limited equivalent) units, an exciting new series event is coming soon with an improved number of new units and on top of that we have some much needed quality of life updates.

That’s not to say that it’s all good, the Christmas sales packs are awful as usual, there are seemingly no festival tickets being distributed for free and the only obtainable ones are from the previously mentioned awful sales packs.

I also think that, while waiting a while before releasing the first Festival unit is a common gacha practice and perfectly fine, why did they release 2 in such a short space of time, that is such a strange choice…

Hopefully they at least have some nice gifts and rewards planned for new year

The format of the banner has changed but the text written there is exactly the same so I don’t know what this is for, perhaps reprints coming soon?

A new UI item icon. It has a similar image to the “events” tab so this could also have something to do with the updated event banners. Maybe they will allow us to unlock old events for a limited time somehow?

A new pass labeled New Year 2026. They have added other passes to the files that never actually got implemented but this one specifies an event we know is coming so I think it will be implemented. Considering the fact that the Monthly Ad-Free pass is one of the only good value sales packs to begin with, I’m at least interested to see what this ends up offering.

Once again, nothing hidden in the data download, they seem to be doing a better job of tidying up the files before pushing them.

Last time I mentioned how the 2.5D event had a shorter featured event period despite having a longer total event period than previous events. Well this time things have gone the other way instead:

So this is by far the longest event they have hosted with the exact same amount of content as before. As I mentioned before, I have no problem with the Total Event period being longer, in my opinion that’s always good to give people who have less time on their hands a chance to clear the content at a time that suits them. But the Featured Event period being longer means we probably won’t see any new content for another 24 days and that’s just way way way too long.

They made some changes during the last event to make the farming take longer (reducing drops and reducing quantity of items given from missions) and they also made the missions require us to get units to Lvl. 80 now too, but they still haven’t added any new ways to farm the standard evolution items, you just have to rely on rng drops in story mode (or spend real money to buy the sales pack from the store).

In my opinion these are terrible changes and make playing the game even more miserable. I understand wanting to make the content take longer because it was far too quick before, but I don’t believe a farmable event stage should have a chance to give no drops, it should be at least 1 guaranteed drop with a chance to get a second.

They also have these unit restrictions on the high difficulty stages that make clearing them without obtaining and heavily investing into specific units basically impossible which seems like a strange choice for a game that is still only a few months old.

The only other thing on the roadmap for the rest of the month is the Jump Festa Campaign, which we can only hope is nothing like the Black Friday Campaign. I expect them to at least announce the series that will be added in January at Jump Festa but I doubt we’ll get much else.

So, most likely no more content to New Year’s Day. I’ll see you then I guess…

In my opinion, this seems like a good thing, the event is available for a long time so players can clear it at their own pace but the featured period is shorter so we won’t have to wait as long for the next event.

So only 13 days wait until the Chained Soldier event starts. I’m interested to see how they will handle Christmas and New Year content around that time too. Especially with them having stated that a new series will be added to the game and be getting an event starting on New Year’s Day.

I am really hoping there is some Christmas and New Year special content and it’s not just 3 weeks of Chained Soldier and nothing else.

I am a little dissapointed with the Black Friday campaign. After Jumputi released Yoh Asakura, one of the most anticipated character releases, for Black Friday, I though maybe the devs had something nice planned here. Instead we get some rather pathetic Prism sales and some poor value packs.

The half stamina story mode and boosted amount of coin runs are nice to have but ultimately a poor show of a campaign from the devs and that also makes me question if I should expect much for the other campaigns listed on the roadmap.

Next Event & Possible Leaks!

Nothing to report here really, no interesting info in the data download.

I was surprised it was Magilumiere as the new event! Even though the event structure seems similar, the time between this event and the next event is longer than usual, almost 3 weeks!

I’m not sure what to expect but probably we are fast approaching the event where they use those Christmas Backgrounds for the first time.

The content flow for this game definitely needs some work…
