Update 1 – Friendship Combo

By collecting various characters you can unlock Friendship Combos with combinations of characters.

When you unlock the Friendship Combo, the effect will bbe applied to all the characters who meet the criteria, this will add a new element to teambuilding for Adventures and Duels!

Speculation: I assume that the higher the rarity of door, the rarer or harder to get the door will be. It also looks like the Event door can be used on event characters, Hero door on standard gacha units and the Limited Door on Limited units.

It is sudden but we have decided to hold a Kochikame Feature Festival on Jumputi!

Obviously the time it takes to create the event after this decision is a while, the event is currently planned for release in Fall of this year, so don’t expect any details to be revealed until close to that time.

For this feature festival we are experimenting with the idea of “creating together”. For this to work your opinion is essential!

We are recruiting you, the players, to help us decide on what content should be added to the kochikame feature festival!

Scar’s Notes

Feature festival after feature festival, 2020 has gotten off to a running start. In addition to all of this stuff we also have the current event going on for the Taiwan version of the game. They have their own Saint Seiya feature festival which adds a whole bunch of new characters

All the gold saints pictured above are available except for Aphrodite. A massive scale event. Though this does make sense really, the Taiwan version getting it’s first version exclusive event for Lunar New Year and it’s Saint Seiya to fit the Zodiac theme of the Celebrations.

After this they will also get a new Heroes banner and a will have the Summer units added so the pace on that version has yet to slow down.

One final thing to mention is the new stages in the files:

These stages are incredibly interesting to me. For a start, possibly 4 of the 6 stages hint towards a Katekyo Hitman Reborn Feature Festival in the near future which is awesome. Seems the event will focus mainly on the battle for the Vongola rings with Varia, with one event outside of that being Tsuna’s Battle with Byakuran!

Majin Buu’s Body speaks for itself, I know many people are eagerly anticipating the release of Vegito and/or Ultimate Gohan.

For the new Man festival stage, I have no idea what they are planning with that but with that stage reskinned it can be used at a different point in the year for a new event rather than just being a christmas seasonal.

Battle Rush – Deadly Change

Battle Rush returns with the reprint boss Orochimaru! Receive many rewards for clearing the stages and for beating Orochimaru himself receive the Legend Summon Jiraiya on stage 20 as well as the character Orochimaru for defeating the difficult stage 25! There will also be rewards such as Rubies and Jewels so make sure to do your best to clear as much as you can!

As you challenge each stage, the next stage you unlock will be harder than the last. These stages do not give exp or drops so just aim to bring your strongest or most suitable units rather than worrying about luck or levelling units. Stages will only cost 1 stamina so this event won’t waste valuable stamina that you can use for farming! Aim to beat stage 25 for the best rewards possible!

Next Event – Naruto?

The login mascot for the next event is Standard Gacha Sasuke which would indicate a Naruto event anyway. We can also see that the login background appears to be the Uchiha Hideout stage that has been lurking in the files for a few months

We also have a new summoning scroll item in the files. You may remember this gacha which used a special event item the “Summoning Scroll” as a free summon item to get naruto characters

Well now we have a new one, this one says “Shinobi” in the middle.

I assume this will be used in the same way.

Scar’s Notes

So it looks a lot like a Naruto Feature Festival is up next. The main focus will be on the fight between Sasuke and Itachi but I suppose it might be a mix of events and characters like last time.

I wonder if this might be the first Dark Heroes Feature Festival…?

We also have those new sales packs. They are very interesting, the 30 day one looks like it is amazing value to me but we still dont have all the information on these so I will wait and see before making my judgement.

This seems like a bit of a chill period for me, not many naruto characters I would be too hyped about except maybe Hinata. They have really been changing things for 2020 too with these sales packs and the reprints only having 1 luck thing.

The hoshin engi units look cool, I mgiht be tempted into a multi or two for Kou Tenka but in general I want to save for a while after spending at new years.

Fingers crossed for an ensemble event to follow up this naruto event as well as a ticket pool update on the horizon.

For some people it would be good to remember that Anni and Golden Week happen within a month of each other starting at the end of march and ending at the end of april. Big gacha quite often come then so try not to be tempted too easily by current content.

The new year is on it’s way, as we move into 2020 let’s do it in the right way! A special event to celebrate with seasonal characters, special gacha and limited time sales!

Scar’s Notes

Oh boy, so much news all at once, I really fell behind on updating the site but finally we are catching up

So what’s coming next and when? Well it looks a lot like Hoshin Engi will be the next event! I can’t be sure whether it will be a Puti Feature or a Feature Festival but I hope for the latter as it is a series I am interested in learning more about.

As for other stuff, there are a few new stages in the files

• Mamiya’s Vilage
• Former Shikkearu Kingdom (Kuraigana Island)
• Raizen’s Den
• Study Room
• Association
• The Hill of the Beheaded
• Generic – Cave (Blue)

These new stages are in addition to all the old ones that still remain unused which have been mentioned in other news posts.

My current thoughts with these stages are, well I suppose there are a few:

I think Association might refer to the Hunter Association from Hunter x Hunter. The reason I think this was inspired by the recent Sensei Festival we had, I think Togashi is a prime candidate for such an event, we still have an old stage from Level E (Yukitaka’s Room), this would add a Hunter x Hunter stage to the equation along with the 2 new Yu Yu Hakusho stages Raizen’s Den & The Hill of the Beheaded.

So the characters I suppose this suggests would be added are:

• Yukitaka Tsutsui – Level E
• Raizen – Yu Yu Hakusho
• [Sacred Energy Armor] Shinobu Sensui – Yu Yu Hakusho

Additionally, the Association might suggest the addition of Ging Freecss as well as the evolution event for Leorio Paradiknight. More characters would probably be included in gacha and events but it’s hard to say who considering that the only Sensei Festival we have had so far was such a mash-up

Study room is clearly referring to Bokuben – We Never Learn. We know for a fact that the series is confirmed to be arriving in 2020. With the anime just ending and the manga on it’s way to the end it really seems like it would be a good idea to add the series soon.

It feels like the series is set up perfectly to be added for Valentine’s Day, hopefully we will get a nice sized event out of it.

Mamiya’s Village would suggest the addition of Mamiya and Yuda from Fist of the North Star. Whether this would be a part of larger Fist of the North Star event is hard to say, but we have Version 2 Kenshiro and Souther who are both currently waiting to be added as well.

Tetsuo Hara and Buronson have other works, both together and separately, but I believe that Hokuto no Ken is their only joint venture in Weekly Shonen Jump if I remember correctly.

Former Shikkearu Kingdom is the name of one of the stages but after looking into it they are indeed referring to Kuraigana Island, the home of Dracule “Hawk Eyes” Mihawk from One Piece.

To me, Mihawk seems like a perfect candidate for a high difficulty stage, either a Genkai Battle or Challenge stage.

To be honest I think if we are getting Limit Breaking events in the future mihawk would be a perfect candidate for a Zoro Awakening eg.

• New Zoro is released
• Beat Mihawk Stage to unlock his new awakened form
• Awakened form uses Ichidai Sanzen Daisen Sekai as his Ultimate Attack
• Or it could even be as subtle as his swords being clad in Haki after awakening but not before
• New Pica event for this unit to counter?

Mihawk as the “Master of Swordsman” could also easily be used for the awakenings of other Swordsman characters in the future.

That just leaves Cave (Blue) from this batch, this could be anything really, the last cave stage was used for Licht in the Black Clover Feature Festival. I don’t have any real idea what this one could be so I’ll leave it up to your imagination/deduction.

The Shinigami that likes Apples 

The boss Ryuk from Death Note will be available from this event! They will be Fire (Red)!

This is a challenge stage! Each stage will present a unique challenge that you must build a team carefully for in order to beat it! Some stages will be particularly tricky, discuss with your fellow players to work out the best way to overcome each challenge.

This is a reprint event, details of the stages may have changed since the last run.

Challenge 1 – Hinomaru Ushio

Survive 5 turns against Hinomaru. He will cut your HP by 90% each turn and he will also Burn you. Hinomaru’s Burn will inflict increasing damage each turn.

Advice – Healing each turn will help keep you alive, but remember, the burn will be much more powerful towards the end of the battle

Challenge 2 – Sanji, Chopper and The Kung-fu Dugongs

This stage has 5 rooms. Each room will have a number of enemies. You must defeat all enemies in each room in one turn or you will be defeated.

Advice – Characters that can attack all enemies at once are key here, some of them have even been buffed recently to make this easier

Challenge 3 – Toriko

Toriko will inflict 100,000 points of damage on the 5th turn. Survive this attack at all costs.

Advice – Supports that provide damage reduction, front line characters with type advantage and front line characters that reduce damage are all advisable for this stage.

Challenge 4 – Katsuragi Yako

Yako will rate down certain bubbles before absorbing every bubble on the board. She will then challenge you to turn your whole board into one color. The color you must change your board to will be in the first line of her speech bubble after she churns your board and in the speech bubble between each turn. Remember what you are looking for:

• 赤 = Red
• 青 = Blue
• 緑 = Green
• 黄 = Yellow

Advice – Search your character box for bubble converters that pair well together, I think the best way to do it is to set your team out with one particular bubble colour in mind then reset until you get the right one

Challenge 5 – Yukihira Soma

Soma will make sure to reduce your Attack, making your attacks do little to no damage. Overcome this and defeat him in 4 turns or face certain defeat.

Advice – Use characters who don’t require a good attack stat to do damage. This includes characters who inflict damage based on their HP stat or their Recovery stat.

Challenge 6 – Son Goku

Goku will convert a number of bubbles into Block bubbles every so often. Each time he uses the Spirit Bomb, he will inflict a great deal more damage for every Block bubble still on the board, survive Both spirit bombs

Advice – Support characters who can change bubbles in set positions to a different color will be great for this, leave the “convert one color to another color” supports at home for this one and focus on setting up your patterns and getting rid of all the block bubbles before BOTH ultimate attacks.

A nice little leak in this data download. What seems to be the first part of the festive events.

I’ll be honest I didn’t expect any more Kochikame content for a while, especially considering the last time it looked like some Kochikame content was coming, we instead got a last minute shaft of a few events but no new characters.

Things to take away from this update:

• These are only the events and gacha starting between the 16th and the 19th, there is most likely more content planned for Xmas week
• Kochikame & Otokojuku both recieve new units for the first time, both rosters had not been added to since launch up until now.
• Togashi Genji has gotten his awakening but Toramaru Ryuuji has not. This is interesting because the Mt. Fuji stage remains unused and raiden has been added as an Enemy only unit, suggesting more Otokojuku content is planned for the future.
• Summer units return in a funny twist, yes it is indeed summer in the southern hemisphere right now, so it seems that their seasonal restiction is a bit more relaxed than initially thought
• The Winter Penguin Village stage still remains unused, Dr. Slump content is sure to come soon
• Other than the Yukata Sasuke returning, no new Limited has been confirmed yet for this event.
• New gacha is labelled as “Just Before” christmas, suggesting that more is planned for christmas
• Still no news on the new “Limit Break” update

Personally, I’m a big fan of this little event, more attention for series that deserve it but haven’t got any is really the best thing for the game

I really have my fingers crossed for a gacha pool update for new year, it would be so huge cosnidering how many gacha units were added in 2019.
