New Ability – Element Burst

The new Densetsu Grade character – Monkey D. Luffy brings a new type of ability to the game! Here is how it works!

When in an Element Burst state, damage dealt and received for this unit will be calculated using the advantageous type.

For example, even though Luffy is a Fire (Red) unit, if he was fighting an Aqua (Blue) unit, he would deal damage to them and receive damage from them as if he were a Thunder (Yellow) unit.

If two units face each other while both are in an Element Burst state, damage will be calculated normally.

This buff also extends to certain other abilities, eg. If you inflict Bleed to an enemy, normally you need to connect a bubble that matches your unit’s type to activate the additional damage, however, in an Element Burst state, even if the bubble is the wrong colour, it will still activate the additional damage.

5.5 Anniversary Important Info from the Devs

The following conversation was posted to the official Jumputi Blog. This conversation includes important information about the upcoming 5.5 Anniversary Event. Here are the key talking points from this post:

Regarding the “New Power” announced previously for 5.5 Anni

• “This ability is not a new Type but rather a new function relating to Type”
• “This ability will allow for a free playing style that doesn’t worry so much about types”
• “This ability should be one that anyone can identify the strength of just by seeing it”
• “There were concerns about the strength of this ability and whether it would upset the game balance”
• “There were also problems regarding the development of this ability, it affects existing game mechanics so we needed to consider it carefully”
• “We had the perfect character for this event and this ability so we pushed onwards towards releasing them”

Regarding the next Densetsu Grade unit

• “I can’t say exactly who the character is yet, this character is the reason we had to delay the event to begin with. But, it’s probably that character that everyone has in mind already”

Responding to player inquiries August 2023 Edition

Thank you for playing Jumputi Heroes. Today we will share some responses to player inquiries and give you more information on updates currently being worked on. Here are the key talking points from this post:

• Priority will be placed on adding series and events to the log book which include characters that complete character combos
• The max coin cap may be increased but not yet because the UI needs to be redesigned, instead, a larger number of Limit Break doors will be distributed in events so that there is always something to spend excess coins on
• 30x HP will become the standard for the top floor of Tower from the 5.5 Anniversary event onwards so that players can use a wider array of characters and battles end on turns 2 & 3 less often
• Limited Tower Battles will have a Special Event unit only season from 10/09.
• During anni, some difficult to obtain event units will be made available
• The Special Guild Unity Battle event is taking longer than expected to implement so it will be added later
• Rewards will be handed out on LINE daily in the countdown to the anniversary event

Thank you for playing Jumputi Heroes. Today we will share some responses to player inquiries and give you some more information on updates that are currently being worked on.

Regarding items at the event exchange

Players have complained about how long it takes to make exchanges for certain items, eg. trading for coins 1 item or set of items at a time. When possible in the future we will try to provide an option to trade in for larger quantities of the item to make it less time-consuming.

Regarding Hidden Potential items

Players have asked for Hidden Potential items to be made more readily available. We are considering adding more ways to obtain these items in the future so please wait for a while.

Regarding Unity Battle

Many players have complained that we are holding Unity Battle events too frequently, that the number of points required to farm is too high and that it’s too tedious to farm because there aren’t enough fun or engaging elements. We have been carefully listening to the feedback on Unity Battles since we started holding them more frequently and we will be making adjustments in the future so that everyone can enjoy the game mode.

Tower Special Rules

Many players seem annoyed that Tower battles are often settled by the second character. We are aware of this and we are looking to implement our first season with Tower Special Rules from 09/11. Special rules will come in a few different forms but an example of one you may see soon is a rule that increases everyone’s HP.

This implementation is a trial so that we can test what tweaks may need to be made in the future so please let us know once they are implemented, which rules you enjoy and which ones you might like to see changes to.

The delay of the 5.5 Anniversary Celebration

Jumputi Heroes will celebrate our 5.5 Anniversary on September 28th. The 5.5 Anniversary Celebration was planned to begin on the same day.

However, due to certain considerations needing to be made with related parties, some of the new characters and events that were scheduled to appear during the 5.5 Anniversary Celebration will now need to be delayed until October 16.

Therefore, we have decided to reschedule the whole 5.5 Anniversary Celebration to October 16th.
